Jamie Lewis
HEY Smile Foundation
Jamie Lewis is a passionate and visionary leader whose dedication to community impact has transformed the charitable landscape across Hull & East Yorkshire. As CEO of the HEY Smile Foundation, Jamie has led the organisation through a period of exceptional change and influence, steering it to become the region’s leading infrastructure charity. Under his leadership, Smile has empowered thousands of grassroots organisations, unlocked millions in social value, and built strong partnerships across sectors to address complex community challenges with clarity, compassion, and innovation.
Jamie’s approach is rooted in authenticity, collaboration, and fundamental belief in the power of people. Whether influencing strategic investment, shaping place-based support, or mentoring emerging leaders, his contribution is consistent: he creates space for others to thrive. Elizabeth Maliakal
Hudgell Solicitors
Elizabeth is a medical negligence solicitor with more than 25 years’ of experience who joined the team at Hudgells in 2020. Elizabeth specialises in high-value cases representing women and children in birth injury claims , stillbirth claims, Erb’s palsy and shoulder dystocia. She also represents families in Inquest proceedings.
Elizabeth is responsible for the training and development needs of the medical negligence department at Hudgells and supervises trainee solicitors within the department. She is motivated by supporting and mentoring colleagues to achieve their potential and ambitions.
Outside of Hudgells Elizabeth volunteers on a helpline for the national patient safety charity, AvMA, providing free legal advice to callers. She says ‘it is a chance to put my skills as a medical negligence lawyer to good use and to help others’. Elizabeth is also a trustee at the charity Hull Women’s Aid, which helps women and children affected by domestic abuse and she is also a trustee at Hymers college and sits on the Education, Nominations, and Governance committees.”
Linsey Brown

Linsey Brown leads the team at C4DI (Centre for Digital Innovation) in Hull, a community of tech and creative people working together to solve real-world problems. Her focus is on building meaningful partnerships, supporting startups and scaleups, and helping businesses and individuals grow through collaboration.
With a background in strategy and programme development, Linsey works closely with founders, freelancers, and larger organisations to create opportunities and connect ideas across the region. She believes in straight-talking support, making things happen behind the scenes, and creating a space where people feel encouraged and included.
C4DI continues to grow under Linsey’s leadership as a place where innovation, learning and community come together - and she’s proud to be part of the team driving that forward.
