Nicky West, the visionary founder and director of NEW Options, has been leading the way in the field of Speech and Language Therapy since the company was formed in 2013.
As an independent Speech and Language Therapy company covering the region, NEW Options is dedicated to providing quality and regular support to children and young people. Nicky's mission is to eliminate the inequity of access to support by building successful relationships and offering timely, innovative, and tailored input to every child and family.
Parent partnership and empowerment is a fundamental principle, as well as upskilling school staff to deliver effective therapy support. With a strong focus on supporting local communities and social enterprise projects, Nicky's commitment to providing engaging training and specialized support for children with speech, language and communication challenges sets NEW Options apart as a leader in the field.
Rachel Di Clemente Hudgell Solicitors
Since joining Hudgell Solicitors as Chief Executive Rachel has overseen a programme to ensure more people have access to justice. She has also cemented the firm’s national reputation for award-winning customer experience.
Rachel believes justice – and the very best legal representation – shouldn’t just be available to those who can afford it – but to all who need it.
She has engrained a culture across the firm of offering pro bono legal help and steered its support of more than 150 injured survivors of the Manchester Arena terror attack to provide free legal and financial advice and funding rehabilitation on their behalf.
Recently, Rachel lent her support to a group of whistleblowers; consultants, doctors and nurses to be involved in an Inquiry, which made national news headlines.
Hudgell Solicitors, under Rachel’s leadership, is committed to being ‘locally loyal’, partnering with neighbouring businesses, charities and organisations, to invest back into the community.
Run With It Education Centre
We are a charity dedicated to making a difference to young peoples lives across Hull and East Riding. We offer stimulating numeracy, literacy and physical activity sessions to learners across the region. We aim to boost confidence and self-belief, focus on improving core numeracy and literacy skills, and teach our learners the essential life skills needed for all aspects of life beyond the classroom walls.
The unique experience our learners receive across our four stimulating centres – MKM Stadium, Hull; Bridlington Town Football Club; Flemingate, Beverley; and Sewell Group Craven Park makes learning inspiring, applicable to the outside world, and most importantly, makes it FUN!
We are really looking forward to what the upcoming academic year may bring us and the success stories we can help achieve. It is fantastic to be involved in the Hull and East Yorkshire People in Business Awards, and it will be wonderful to spend the night with many other passionate businesses who strive to make a difference to the community!
