Lindsey Openshaw
WillIAMS dEN

Lindsey joined William’s Den in 2021 with fantastic experience from a career spent in tourism, hospitality and the education sector. Passionate about people, play and childhood development, she brings the magic of William’s Den to everyone she meets, going above and beyond for all customers and acting as a positive role model for the wider team.

Lindsey wears many hats, leading the hospitality team in the pizzeria, coffee shop and ice cream parlour, while managing birthday parties, schools and group visits. Since arriving at the Den, Lindsey’s worked hard to evolve school visits, introducing exclusive school days during the week, giving larger groups the freedom to explore and develop, making education as fun as possible. She’s regularly referenced as ‘the lady with the brown hair’ in glowing customer reviews talking about how positive interactions with Lindsey helped enhance their children’s experience of their visit.

paul bird
KWL

I’ve been With KWL since leaving school, working my way up from an apprentice Joiner to my current role as a site supervisor. It’s been a journey, and I’ve learned a lot along the way.

I was surprised to be nominated for this award, as I feel I’m only carrying out the duties of my current role, however I feel honoured that the people who I work with have taken the time to think of me in this way.

I always try to encourage my team to develop themselves, approach their work with enthusiasm and if they have any problems we tackle it together as a team. This has enabled us to build good levels of trust amongst all members & also give our clients confidence that we’re a team that can deliver.

At the end of the day, this nomination isn’t just about me. It’s a reflection of the whole teams efforts. We’re in it together and that’s what makes us successful.
